In the British rule, the bilingual Bombay state was formed in collaboration with Mumbai and Gujarat. On May 1, 1960, after the partition of Bombay State, Gujarat became a state.By sacrificing the desert environment of Rajasthan almost 300 years ago, our ancestors made Gujarat their own landmark by searching for a new dimension of business with the spiritual practice of mind-speech and deeds.
Entrepreneurial Earth has been uninterrupted since the ancient times of every business community of India from Gujjar region. This land was later known as the Gujarat state. The soft-spoken, tolerant and socially friendly people here welcomed the people of every state and the religion of all religions. In the year 1940, the General Assembly was held in Surat.
The history of any institution is a window of sight in its past. The history of institutions is in the right sense to assess and observe those personalities, whose dedication, work and liberal tendencies give rise to it. History is an inscription in the true sense, which gives countless generations the pride of the past and the direction of the future.
In order to promote social unity and brotherhood among all these Maheshwari brothers, Shri Bhuptbhai Zaveri in Jamnagar formed Gujarat Provincial Maheshwari Sabha in 1972 for this purpose.The Maheshwari brothers made considerable progress in the textile business and other areas here. The state was divided into three divisions - South Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch Gujarat. Recently, most of the members of the society reside in Surat, Ahmedabad and Baroda.First of all, 15 districts were formed in the year 2002-03. The Mahesh Seva Trust was revived by Maheshwari Samaj in the year 2002-03, through which assistance is provided to the needy people of the society from time to time.
Earthquake in 2001, there was considerable damage to earthquake disaster in Gujarat. At Talanai Institute in Kutch, the hostels of students of the earthquake fell to the earthquake. On the instructions of the then General Secretary Mr. Bansi Lalji Rathi, with the support of the brothers of the state, about 2 hostels were constructed in the name of All India-centric Maheshwari Mahasabha for children and girls at a cost of Rs 64 lakhs.In this work, Mr. Rannivas ji Rathi, Mr. Writer Raj Jee Bachany, Mr. Dawlal ji Chandak (the then State Minister of State) have special cooperation. In this context, the youth organization of the state has made 75 houses of a kitchen kitchen with pleasure facility for the members of the affected Bhuj and the rescues of the society. In this work, there was special cooperation of Mr. Sharad Gattani, Mr. Anil Somani, and Mr. Manoj Somani.
In 2006, the people of the society were greatly affected due to the flood of floods in Surat. The people affected by the society were prepared in a kit with utensils and essential items and divided into affected areas. In this work, there was special cooperation of Mr. Ramji Chandak of Surat, Mr. Shankarlalji Somani, Mr. RamAvtarji Sabu and Mr. Ramnivasji Rathi of Ahmedabad, Mr. Daulalji Chandak, Mr. Nandlalji Nyati and Mr. Purshottamji Puglia.In the year 2017, in the floods caused by excessive rain in central Gujarat, people of Banaskantha region of the society suffered a lot, in which the people of the state helped openly financially. About 56 lakh rupees was given by the socialists.
